Residential care community improves campus safety and aesthetics with architectural road and pathway lighting.

LightEdison collaborated with The Baddour Center to upgrade campus walking and driving lanes with long-lasting architectural LED street-lighting.

Challenge

The existing primary roadway lighting at the campus facilities was minimal and provided a poor nighttime lighting environment for Baddour Center residents, staff members, and felt institutional. The Baddour Center’s master-plan strives for a community aesthetic while providing comfortable and safe nighttime light levels.

Solution

LightEdison managed a premium design-build solution which included installation of 41 new poles, foundations, and electrical infrastructure. Additionally, new raceways for future data communication upgrades were installed. LightEdison was able to create the desired “feel” of the roadway and facility, while achieving a significant increase in light levels throughout the campus with proper product selection and a thorough design process.

Results

The residents and staff are now able to fully enjoy the beautiful campus in the evening hours. The LightEdison infrastructure upgrade increased light levels by more than 600%, creating an inviting, neighborhood-like atmosphere for the campus and improved facility safety for residents and staff. Additionally, future expandability of needed data communications was also implemented. Brilliance delivered!

“From the beginning to the end, LightEdison was the best choice for our street lighting project. It was comforting to see from the planning stages of our project to final construction days, that LightEdison always made sure that Baddour was receiving the best product and service available. Baddour truly values our relationship with LightEdison, and will continue to utilize their expertise in future projects.”
