Denver Children’s Museum utilizes instant rebate program with LightEdison lighting solution.

LightEdison increased ambient light levels 20% – improving facility environments for guests and staff.

Challenge

The Denver Children’s Museum is one of the premier learning destinations for families and schools in the Denver metro area. They work to open doors to future leaders, innovators and adventurers. Although they had completed major renovations on most of the building, a few remaining areas had not been converted to LED and had insufficient legacy lighting; including high traffic exhibits and play areas which was negatively impacting the guest experience and reducing the interactive nature of certain exhibits.

Solution

Long lasting LED lamps. Appropriately chosen color temperatures and beam angles were specified to maximize the experience in the exhibits by highlighting the bold colors and eliminating dark areas.

Results

The LED lighting solution is expected to generate savings of $10,070 over 10-years. In addition to the very strong financial performance of this installation, lighting energy usage was reduced by 55.3%. Most importantly, this conversion allowed consistency of color temperature and light distribution to be achieved providing a richer guest experience at each exhibit. Visitors to the space including museum leadership to regular repeat guests remarked that the change was “dramatic!”

Testimonial

“LightEdison made it very easy (painless in fact) to make the case for the purchase. Their reports and info made it very evident that it was a “no brainer” decision. The lamps are in (thanks for your help there, too!) and they look fabulous! I can’t wait to see the utility bill dropping.”
