Challenge

Royal Furniture’s warehouse distribution center for its 14 retail locations had a legacy lighting system that provided poor light quality throughout the facility and their furniture repair shop. Management wanted to improve lighting to increase employee safety, boost throughput productivity for on-time deliveries, as well as reduce large utility and maintenance expenses.

Solution

LightEdison designed and installed 100 high-efficiency high bay fixture lighting replacements, integrated fixture level motion sensors and 2,450 LED strip retrofit kits to reduce energy consumption and Increase facility illumination.

Results

This LightEdison solution is expected to generate savings of $588,645 over 10-years. In addition to the very strong financial performance of this installation, lighting energy consumption was reduced by 72% and included a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of over 7,000,000 lbs. Most importantly, net profits were improved based on more efficient throughput at Royal Furniture’s facility.
